Black History Poems
"The Black Strength"
Genesis Rodriguez
A lot of people have fought for the rights of our fellow black friends,
No one defends
As much of a black person’s heart
The eager to be treated like everyone
All they’ve been through
Is a huge part
Of their history
Right now
There are multiple activists
Gaining multiple victories
Creating different histories
Oh how powerful
They should be flowerful
On a daily
Who I Am?
By Shakayla Guest
Black
Yes black is what I am
Black is what you will see when you look at me
You say you don't see color
But if you don't see my color you don't see me
So yes
Black is what and who i am
